Animal welfare experts are appealing to find a new home for sweet Rover, a crossbreed, who is currently living at Dogs Trust’s West Calder Rehoming Centre.
Rover is just one year old and his carers say he is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves making new friends with everyone he meets.
A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust said: “A typical youngster, Rover is an active lad with a real enthusiasm for life.
“He enjoys setting off on his walks and loves playing in the garden where he can chase after his favourite toys.
“He will happily jump into the car to seek out new adventures and he will never turn down a tasty treat or a cuddle with his family.
“Rover is searching for new owners who have experience with similar breeds and, as he’s still young, they will need to be able to continue with his training.”
Dogs Trust say Rover is friendly with other dogs but would be best suited to a household with grown-up children.
The spokeswoman said: “He is happy to say hello to other dogs he meets on his walks and he can live with children aged around 16 years old and above.
“Rover would be happiest in an active home with owners who share his love of the great outdoors.
“He has a very loving and playful nature and he is sure to bring happiness to his future family.”
