Pagani Huayra Imola Is Most Powerful Pagani Ever

Only five examples will be made.

With Pagani revealing so many one-off models in the last few years, you'd be forgiven for forgetting all about the hardcore Pagani Huayra Imola. Named after the famous Italian racing circuit formally known as the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the Pagani Huayra Imola was first unveiled in September last year when the first official customer example was delivered. Technical specs were unknown at the time, but Pagani China has now confirmed all the delicious details.

At the heart of the Pagani Huayra Imola is a 6.0-liter, twin-turbo V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG that produces a substantial 827 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque.

Impressively, that's 36 more horsepower and 37 more lb-ft than you get in the Huayra Roadster BC, which makes the Huayra Imola the most powerful Pagani ever made (save for the one-off 1,350-hp Pagani Pearl).

Complementing the extreme performance are some wild exterior aero enhancements including a ginormous rear wing and a more aggressive rear diffuser, as well as a roof scoop reminiscent of the one found on the Zonda Cinque. Performance specifications haven't been announced yet, but the regular Huayra BC will do the 0-62 mph sprint in 2.3 seconds and do the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds, so the Imola should be even faster.

According to an Instagram post shared by Pagani, the Huayra Imola was subjected to the "severest on-track validation test ever applied to a Pagani car," covering over 16,000 km (9,940 miles) on the track at racing speed - that's around three times the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Pricing details also haven't been announced, but the exclusivity of the Huayra Imola means it will probably cost a lot more than the $2.5-million Huayra BC.

Only five examples of the limited-edition Huayra Imola are being made for some very privileged customers. Since Pagani has started teasing the limited-edition hypercar on social media, we're expecting the Huayra Imola to make its world debut at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show next month.
