Girl, 13, who claimed ten-year-old boy had fathered her unborn child admits she LIED… but says it was to hide the fact she had been raped in Russia

A schoolgirl who sensationally claimed she had fallen pregnant by a ten-year-old boy has admitted that she lied - but now claims she was raped, according to reports in Russia.

The 13-year-old girl, known only as Darya, has allegedly told police that a 15-year-old boy forced her to have sex after threatening to brand her a 'whore' on social media if she refused. 

Russia's biggest daily newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda reported yesterday that the teenager was suspected of being the real father and had been put under house arrest in the Krasnoyarsk region of Siberia.

Now the paper says he is suspected of rape.

The case received worldwide attention last month after Darya went on a prime-time Russian TV show with the little boy, Ivan, and said he was the only boy she'd had sex with.

The girl stuck to her story even though a doctor who examined the boy for the show said he was too sexually immature to be a father.

A source close to the family told the newspaper that she now admits she lied but only to avoid the shame of having been raped.

She claims the boy 'grabbed her by the hair' and told her to 'undress' and that 'it was all very quick, on the staircase in a residential building.' 

Darya has became an Instagram celebrity in Russia with her 'Pregnant at 13' postings.

However since the TV show last month she has given the new account to detectives and doctors.

But the source said: 'As for the girl being an Instagram star - it is a simple protection.

'She is so ashamed now and it helps her to survive what has happened to her.'

The pregnant girl, who recently turned 14, and her parents, along with the teenage boy and his parents, have been interviewed by Russian detectives, it is understood.

Russia's Investigative Committee is expected to make an announcement on the case.

Lawyer Anton Kolosov warned there was a high legal threshold for proving rape.

The age of consent in Russia is 16.

Dr Evgeny Grekov, a urology and andrology expert, examined Ivan for the show called 'Father at 10!?'

He said: 'We rechecked the laboratory results three times so there cannot be any mistake.'

The medic said on camera: 'There cannot be sperm cells.

'He is still a child.'

He had barely started 'adrenarche' - the early stage of sexual maturation, Dr Grekov added.

He said: 'There is even no testosterone. And just to add, he still has childish sex organs. Puberty has not started. So we have a lot of questions.'

A male neighbour in in Zheleznogorsk, a nuclear production city, said: 'Obviously, someone else did this. They just want to hang it on the boy now.'

The ten year old boy was asked if the child could be someone else's. He replied: 'This cannot be.'

The boy's mother Galina was convinced he was telling the truth.

'I believe to my son. That he is the father. I understand that he himself maybe doesn't realise what happened.'

The girl's mother Elena - reported to be terminally with cancer - had said of the pregnancy that she now had a 'reason to live'.

At first she thought her daughter had gone down with food poisoning before realising she was carrying a child, she said.

Darya told viewers during last month's TV show that it was Ivan's idea to have sex.

She said: 'But I did not mind.

'He closed the door leaving the key in the lock, so his mum could not open the door.

'It was scary a bit, that it would be painful.

'It was just a little - and then everything was normal.

'It was a bit shameful, we were just hiding under the blanket.

'I did not think that aged 10 he can do such things... I thought that nothing would happen.' 

Psychologist Denis Davydov said when Darya was interrogated on whether she had had anyone else, she gave a 'sharp rejection'.

'This gives me the right to say that she had no contact with other boys or men, she only had Vanya as a partner', he claimed.

Ivan said that 'Darya has never been with another man and that he is the father of her baby'.

The children say they became a target for bullying in Zheleznogorsk after their story became known.

According to the children, they met each other a year ago and fell in love at first sight.

Darya, who is two months pregnant, said during the On Air show: 'A friend of mine introduced us and two days later we started dating.

'Ivan said he was in love with me. We tried to spend as much time together as we could. We like walking down the streets holding hands and kissing.'

According to the girl, who is planning on keeping the child, she and her boyfriend take care of each other and set their social media as 'married'. 

The boy - who gave her roses when they started dating - was asked by famous Russian presenter Andrey Malakhov when he realised that 'when you kissed Dasha and so on, that it could lead to such consequences?'
