Susan Boyle and Denise Welch 'at odds' over surprise Piers Morgan crush

by

Susan Boyle has spoken out over her crush on Piers Morgan, and Denise Welch is absolutely not impressed with it.

The 58-year-old became a household name back in 2008, after her Britain’s Got Talent audition went viral – when she performed in front of Piers, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden.

And, discussing the now-iconic moment, she joked that the Good Morning Britain host left a lasting impression on her.

‘Of course that’s [where I first met] my pal, Piers Morgan,’ she told the Loose Women panel.

Rubbing her hands together, the I Dreamed A Dream singer continued: ‘I went, “come here”.’

But, when she revealed she had a nickname for the 54-year-old, Denise was having none of it.

‘Bet it’s not the same one I’ve got for him,’ she joked.

‘Watch it, he’s a nice guy!,’ Susan hit back. ‘I call him Piersy baby!’

When asked if she had a ‘crush’ on the ITV host, the singing sensation explained it was a little deeper than that, branding her feelings a ‘smash’.

But she won’t be sending him a Valentine’s Day message as ‘he’ll know’ it’s from her and ‘that will take all the goodness out of it’.

Over to you, Piersy baby…

While making her Loose Women debut, Susan also opened up about her sex life, revealing her last date was with a doctor, around six years ago – and lasted around 45 minutes.

The panel queried a story from earlier this week, when the Wild Horses star explained that she spent some time with a mysterious man she met at a spa, while going for a massage.

She explained that her management team were worried because she disappeared after the appointment – but was with the aforementioned doctor who ended up ‘rubbing her the right way’.

‘I came back with a smile on my face,’ she said.

‘Let’s just say he rubbed me up the right way.’

Susan also refused to be drawn on her love life, simply adding ‘not saying’ when asked if she had anyone special in her life.

Aside from Piers Morgan, that is…

Loose Women airs on weekdays, at 12.30, on ITV.
