Stranger Things' Noah Schnapp keeps Hopper bombshell a secret on promo trail
by Emma KellySo promoting his new movie ahead of the first season four teaser had to have been tough.
The 15-year-old was pictured outside BBC Radio 2’s studios in London today as he promoted his new film Waiting For Anya, looking cool in a white tee, jeans, a navy bomber jacket and white and turquoise trainers.
And we’ve got to say, we’re impressed that he managed to keep the trailer’s big bombshell to himself.
The mysterious trailer for season four is focused on the Russian prison housing ‘The American’ – and working out in the snow, we see Jim Hopper (David Harbour) alive and well, albeit without his hair.
We were left under the impression that Hopper was dead at the end of the last series, so Hopper’s appearance in the trailer opens up a whole new can of worms for the upcoming season.
Netflix said: ‘We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway – and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our “American”; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other.
‘Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything….’
Well, that could mean anything.
It has been reported that season four of Stranger Things will be its last, with We Got This Covered claiming that a bumper series will be split into two parts, like the final season of Bojack Horseman.
However, Noah – who plays Will Byers on the Netflix hit – reckons that we’ll at least get two more series from the Hawkins crew.
Speaking on Lorraine, the teenager said: ‘I don’t know if I can say, but from what I think… because they haven’t really told me anything… I don’t know what I can’t say either.
‘I’m sure there will be another one after that. I can’t imagine this is the last… I feel like we’d know if this was. I don’t want it to end!’
Neither do we, Noah.
We have a while to wait for season four of Stranger Things, though, with the show not expected to return until 2021.
