Cincinnati Trolls Michigan State Following Trustee’s Comments About Luke Fickell

by

Earlier this week, Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell reportedly turned down the Michigan State head coaching job. Not long after Fickell decided to remain at Cincinnati, the Spartans landed former Colorado head coach Mel Tucker.

Fickell emerged as the top candidate for the job after Mark Dantonio stepped down after 13 years as the head coach. However, he decided it wasn’t the right time to step away – perhaps leaving his options open for a bigger job.

After Fickell’s decision, one Michigan State trustee didn’t take the news well that Fickell didn’t want the job. Brian Mosallam said in a radio interview with 97.1 the Ticket that Fickell is a “waffling flake.”

Well, the Cincinnati football program took note and decided to troll the Spartans on Valentine’s Day.

“Roses are red, violets are blue, we couldn’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, without throwing a little shade too,” the program said in a tweet.

The first Valentine show a photo of Luke Fickell with the words “I would never FLAKE on you!!”

Check it out.

It’s an excellent troll job from the Cincinnati football program directed at the Michigan State trustee.

We’d love to see these two program battle it out on the field.

It’s too bad they don’t play in 2020.
