A road closure in a Perthshire village has been removed after a number of issues.

Perth Road in Stanley had been closed off earlier this week to make way for road resurfacing works.

However, this closure has now been removed and rescheduled to next week instead.

The road is now due to be closed from Tuesday, February 18 until Thursday. February 20.

A spokesperson for Perth and Kinross Council said: “Due to issues arising from the closure of Perth Road, Stanley earlier this week for road resurfacing works, the council had decided to remove the closure and reschedule it for next week.

“As a result, the road will now be closed from Tuesday, February 18 to Thursday, February 20 between 9.30am and 2.30pm for the works to be carried out.

“During these works, a local diversion will be in place along with parking suspensions to help turning manoeuvres for larger vehicles.

“We would like to thank residents and motorists for their patience this week and for next week while this rescheduled work is carried out.”
