President Ramnath Kovind on Friday officially appointed AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal chief minister of Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Adami Party had stormed back to power in the national capital after winning 62 out of 70 seats in Delhi Assembly elections 2020. The voting had taken place in single-phase on February 8 and the result was declared on February 11.

President Kovind has now cleared the deck for Arvind Kejriwal to take oath as the chief minister on Sunday at Ramlila ground in Delhi's Daryaganj. Six ministers will also be sworn-in at the ceremony.

Ministers to take oath on Sunday are Manish Sisodia, Satyender Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain, Rajendra Gautam.
