The first trailer for Stranger Things' fourth season is here. And the 50-second teaser has fans talking as the fate of series favorite Jim Hopper is revealed.
Though audiences saw the Indiana cop obliterated during last season's finale, the trailer - titled From Russia With Love - shows Hopper alive but far, far from home.
The brief clip begins with a snowy scene, which zooms in to show people laboring away at a Siberian work camp. One of the prisoners: none other than our hero, Jim Hopper, played by David Harbour.
Fans already had a hint that Harbour was coming back to the Netflix series.
In a secret post-credits scene from last season's finale, Russian-speaking guards watched over a prisoner, cryptically referred to as 'the American.'
Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers shared the teaser with some season four details, promising danger, horror and excitement.
'We're excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway.
'And even more excited to announce the return of Hopper!'
'Although it's not all good news for our "American"; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human...and other.
'Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything….
'Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime -- pray for the American.'
Stranger Things season four has yet to reveal a release date, but they have teased episode one's title: The Hellfire Club.
