Former Ohio State Star Fires Back At NFL Draft Analyst For What He Said

by

On Thursday night, Ohio State corner Damon Arnette took to Twitter to respond to a claim he’s not taking workouts seriously leading up to the NFL combine.

NFL draft analyst Tony Pauline suggested Arnette isn’t training seriously. Furthermore, Pauline alleged the former Ohio State star missed workouts this month.

Well, Arnette appears to have a very good reason for missing those workouts. According to Arnette’s comment on Twitter, he says he missed workouts to be there for the birth of his son.

“Ya to be there for the birth of my son…Sorry not Sorry,” he said.

Pauline made strong comments about Arnette during a podcast episode on “Bleav in The Draft Analysts with Tony Pauline & Chris Tripodi.”

He said he heard bad things about former Georgia star Deandre Baker leading up to the 2019 draft. Pauline then went on to stress he heard the same things about Arnette.

“It kind of breaks my heart to say this, but I’m hearing the same things about Ohio State corner Damon Arnette,” Pauline said.

“He’s not taking the combine training seriously and I’m told he missed workouts. It just doesn’t seem like it’s a priority for Arnette from what I’m hearing and it kind of breaks my heart because I have Arnette as a fringe first-round pick.”

Pauline has not responded to the comments from Arnette.
