Lewis Burton declares his love to Caroline Flack on Valentine's as he breaks cover
by Lily Waddell, https://www.mirror.co.uk/authors/lily-waddell/Lewis Burton has made a public declaration of love to his girlfriend Caroline Flack on Valentine's Day.
It comes after Caroline was banned from contacting her tennis player boyfriend directly and indirectly following her tearful appearance in court.
The former Love Island presenter was charged with assault by beating after an alleged row broke out between Flack and Burton in her north London home in the early hours in mid-December.
Lewis confirmed the couple were very much together following recent claims they had split up.
The sports coach posted a throwback picture of the pair looking very happy in each other's company while out for drinks.
Caroline could be seen running her fingers through her long luscious blonde locks while Lewis snapped the picture in his pink shirt.
He wrote: "Happy Valentine's. Love you."
His message come after he broke cover for the first time following contact with Caroline.
Lewis looked thoughtful as he headed out for his solo outing in the afternoon the day before Valentine's Day on Thursday.
The hunk kept warm with a padded sleeveless jacket and a scarf neatly tied around his neck.
As he emerged, the Instagram sensation kept a low-profile by wearing a baseball cap over his face and he dressed in jogging bottoms.
Later on Wednesday, Caroline broke her Instagram silence despite being advised by her lawyers to stay off social media amid the trial.
It was the fourth time she had broken her social media ban but this time to share pictures of her cuddling her French bulldog ahead of Valentine's Day.
This shortly followed her message informing the public she wasn't going to be "silenced" when she was determined to tell her side of the story.
She shared: "Been advised not to go on social media ... but I wanted to say happy Christmas to everyone who has been so incredibly kind to me this year..... this kind of scrutiny and speculation is a lot to take on for one person to take on their own...
"I’m a human being at the end of the day and I’m not going to be silenced when I have a story to tell and a life to keep going with ....
"I’m taking some time out to get feeling better and learn some lessons from situations I’ve got myself into to.
"I have nothing but love to give and best wishes for everyone."
Caroline and Lewis have been barred from seeing each other.
They were unable to spend Christmas together and now will both spend Valentine's Day alone.
Caroline will stand trial in a number of weeks on March 4.
She has been charged with assault by beating following an alleged altercation which took place with her love Lewis at her home.
Police officers attending the scene at the time described what they found as something like a scene in a "horror movie".
Caroline pleaded not guilty when she appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court in January.
She was banned from contacting Lewis ahead of her next court appearance on March 4.
Before her tearful court appearance, Caroline stood down from her position as the host of the first ever winter series of Love Island.
The presenter publicly backed Love Island voiceover Iain Stirling's girlfriend Laura Whitmore landing her envy-inducing job.
ITV bosses were said to have left the door open for Caroline to make a comeback to the summer series later this year.
