Ohio GOP Files Complaint Alleging Voter Fraud Against Dem Candidate

The Republican Party of Ohio launched a formal complaint with Ohio’s Attorney General, Dave Yost. The grievance claims that Hillary Mueri, candidate for Ohio’s 14th congressional district, engaged in voter fraud. The complaint alleges that Mueri voted twice in the 2008 primary election, both in Ohio and in California. The memo says it is a fourth-degree felony in Ohio to illegally vote in an election. (California) Registrar of Voters indicates that Hillary O?Connor Mueri (AKA Hillary Ann O?Connor AKA

Hillary Keiser) (DOB: 04/23/1977) voted in the following elections:

 California: February 5, 2008 Presidential Primary Election

   •  
 Ohio: March 4, 2008 Primary Election

Mueri denies having knowledge of multiple voting registrations, and pivoted to blame the GOP’s “voter suppression” tactics:

“The Ohio GOP is attacking me in order to distract from the partisan purging of voters in Ohio that disenfranchises the people in our state who most need their voices heard,” Mueri said in a statement, per Cleveland.com.

Mueri is running to unseat Congressman Dave Joyce in Ohio’s 14th district. Rep. Joyce won the seat with 55 percent of the vote in 2018, and 62 percent in 2016. Cook Political Report, Inside Elections and Larry Sabato’s “Crystal Ball” all rate the seat as “solid” or “likely” Republican.

It is currently unclear what the fate of the Ohio GOP’s complaint is, but voter fraud is a legitimate grievance. Attorney General Yost is correct to investigate these claims, and the clear evidence of voter irregularities.
