While many praised and lauded her for carrying the dress so confidently, she was also subjected to massive online trolling. Her detractors were quick to shame her for opting for a dress they thought was ‘too much’, ‘too risque’ and thought it did not suit her body type.

The Article 375 actress thought PeeCee was a stunner, and carried the look with a lot of grace. She also mentioned it is exactly this quality of doing what she wants to do, without caring about what people will say, that has brought her so far in her career. “Priyanka has always been a rule breaker. She always does things that she feels is right. She is all heart. She has that attitude that she will do what she wants to do, without caring about what people will think. This attitude of hers has made her reach where she is today,” said Meera Chopra.
When asked what she thought of the outfit, Meera Chopra said, “I feel she looked stunning. If you can carry off something with grace, then you can wear anything. If you don’t look tacky and cheap, then it's all okay. Priyanka looked amazing. People talk about everything.”
