Mason Greenwood has credited Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Kieran McKenna for helping him settle into the first team.

The teenager has been given a bigger role to play in the United squad this season following the departure of Romelu Lukaku in the summer and he believes he has been able to make the step up due to the coaching staff.

"Ole is a major part. He has helped me a lot. Obviously, Kieran (McKenna) as well. I was in the youth team with him in my first season and he was the coach," Greenwood told MUTV.

"He helped me a lot and now he is in the first team, I have not really changed anything - I am doing the same things that I did in the youth team with the first team."

The 18-year-old is already on 10 goals for the season but is targeting more before the end of the campaign and believes he has got room for improvement when it comes to heading.

"Heading goals," Greenwood replied when asked what he could improve upon. "I only scored three or four in the youth team. I've not scored one in the first team and it'd be nice to get one this season. If I work on my heading , it would probably get my two or three extra goals a season so, if I work on that, I can get more goals really.

"I am always working on little finishes, like when the balls just drop in down the side and you turn and finish it straightaway. Hopefully all of the front lads can get a few of those this season."
