by

The Premier Soccer League confirmed that two players and a coach will be suspended for this weekend’s Absa Premiership action.

The fight for the league title will resume this weekend when log leaders Kaizer Chiefs take on a confident Maritzburg United side at the FNB Stadium, while Orlando Pirates look to keep hold of their second place spot when they take on Black Leopards on Sunday.

Mamelodi Sundowns will be returning to the fold after their run in the CAF Champions League group stages, having last featured in the Absa Premiership on January 19.

However, while everyone fights for the points this weekend, two title-chasing clubs will go into this weekend’s action without one of their key players.

Fortune Makaringe, who picked up his fourth yellow card booking against Bidvest Wits in the Nedbank Cup, will miss this weekend’s clash through suspension.

Meanwhile, Bidvest Wits have Elias Pelembe out due to suspension, as well as their assistant coach, Paul Johnstone after he was red carded in their previous clash, and will now be absent from the technical bench when the Students take on Baroka FC.
