STERLINGTON, La. (KNOE) - Sterlington police have arrested a man accused of a domestic incident in which the victim says she and her baby were kidnapped at knife-point.

According to an arrest report, Corey Taylor, 26, got into an argument with the victim at a Sterlington home on Feb. 13, 2020.

The victim told police that Taylor punched her in the face twice and starting strangling her while she was holding her 4-month-old baby.

She says Taylor then knocked her 50" TV down and smashed her phone.

According to the report, the victim says Taylor then pulled out a kitchen knife, forced the mother and child into his truck, and drove off.

After the victim begged Taylor not to kill her and her baby, she says Taylor turned around and took her back home. She says Taylor threatened her again and said he would shoot the police if they were called.

Taylor was arrested and booked at the Ouachita Correctional Center on two counts of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree domestic abuse battery, domestic abuse child endangerment, criminal damage to property, and simple theft.
