by

Met Éireann has issued two weather warnings for the whole country with Storm Dennis set to hit Ireland this weekend.

The Status Yellow rain and wind warning will be in place for the whole country tomorrow.

The wind warning will be in place from 3am tomorrow until 8pm while the rain warning will be in place from 6am tomorrow until 9pm.

Met Éireann said there will be southerly to southwesterly gales between 50km/h, 65km/h to 100km/h.

The gusts will affect exposed areas such as coasts and hills the worst.

Spells of heavy rain with some localised thundery rain have been forecast while Met Éireann has warned that this will lead to flooding.

Heavy rain and hail showers have also been forecast while extremely windy conditions will continue into Sunday evening.
