Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill has been confirmed to appear on the new series of Saturday Night Takeawayby Simon Duke
Love Island winner Amber Gill has bagged herself a surprise role on the new series of Saturday Night Takeaway.
After a new trailer for Ant & Dec's show had been teasing its return for a few weeks, it was finally confirmed earlier this week that Takeaway will be back on ITV on Saturday, February 22.
And, after a rallying call was made for contestants for Win The Ads, more details have been released on what's to come in the new series. One thing we know for sure is that the new run of Saturday Night Takeaway will, like others before it, come with its own mini-series, which will see its famous hosts back on the case as a pair of super sleuths.
Ant & Dec will be joined by a series of guest stars for the mini-series, with episodes airing throughout Takeaway's and, joining the likes of Hugh Bonneville, Richard Ayoade, Paddy McGuinness and Simon Cowell will be Gateshead girl Amber, who triumphed on Love Island last year.
There'd also been a big name confirmed to be the new series' first guest announcer, with former Fifth Harmony member and Havana singer Camilla Cabello stepping behind the mic to do the honours.
The return of Saturday Night Takeaway has been met by a huge response before its even started. One fan commented: "Can’t wait... Saturday nights have just got a whole lot better xx" and another reacted "This has made my day, the geordie duo are back , oh my god I have missed this show just hope I get some tickets!"
Another excited viewer posted: "Unbelievably excited about this! My saturday nights will be complete again," and a fourth wrote: "Fantastic! Been watching since it started in 2002. Absolutely love sitting back with a few drinks having a laugh. really missed SNT last year but so glad its back!!
