Mum's clever way to help kids pour milk without making a mess

Kids can be messy creatures at breakfast time especially if they want to pour their own milk in their cereal.

The big milk containers are heavy to pour and can often tip over the bowl or leave the milk gushing our to fast and flooding your kitchen worktops.

But one mum has discovered a hack that makes pouring milk easier and less messy.

Kate Anderson discovered the trick after accidentally screwing the lid from her tomato ketchup on to her milk bottle.

She said: "It was only by chance that it worked really, I was washing out all the bottles ready for recycling and I was distracted and put the sauce bottle lid on the milk bottle and that's when it hit me...can I save entire bottles of milk?"

She put the lid on a new bottle of milk and poured and it was so controlled she got her seven-year-old to give it a go she told Kidspot.

She added: "Now we don't have spilled bottles of milk I'm rushing to clean up before school and work. I really thought I was the only one who didn't know this, but posted it just in case others didn't know.

"I wasn't expecting anything from it. My kids love it they think they are so grown up."
