Coleen Rooney and Wayne celebrate 18 years with Valentine's Day meal at The Shard
by Lily Waddell, https://www.mirror.co.uk/authors/lily-waddell/Coleen Rooney and her husband Wayne were dining in style at The Shard for Valentine's Day.
The couple were ringing in 18 years together with a special dinner date on the day before Valentine's Day on Thurdsay.
Wayne paid tribute to his wife with a snap from their romantic evening the night before in an Instagram post on Friday.
In the snap, the happy couple were the picture of true love while they smiled to the camera with the impressive city lights of London brightening up the backdrop.
Coleen looked slender in a pretty pink floral number which was cinched at the waist to draw attention to her eye-popping figure.
Wayne was dapper in an olive green polo shirt as he dressed up for the dazzling occasion with his long-time love.
The sports star shared their loving moment with their legion of fans and he made a note the couple had been together for 18 years.
Coleen shared a collage of pictures of herself with Wayne as well as their four sons: Kai, ten, Klay, six, Kit, three, and Cass, 23 months.
She wrote: "Happy Valentines Day to my boys. I love you all."
Valentine's Day comes as it emerged Coleen and Wayne were stronger than ever following his return from the US.
Recently, the footballer returned to the UK to live with his family at their new Cheshire home after leaving DC United in Washington where he was contracted.
A source told The Sun: “Coleen never settled in America.
“The switch has turned out to be a really positive one for the whole family.
"Coleen now thinks the marriage is stronger than ever."
Their love was tested when Wayne was arrested for drink-driving while taking a girl home in her car back in 2017.
However, the couple have been tipped to get their vows renewed as it's claimed the pair have got back on track.
Coleen and Wayne tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in 2008.
Valentine's Day has arrived amid Coleen and Rebekah Vardy's spat being drudged back up on Loose Women.
Coleen put aside the drama to celebrate her big day with her husband.
The WAGs went to war when Coleen accused Rebekah's Instagram account of leaking stories to the newspapers about her private life - which Vardy has strongly denied.
Wayne's wife delivered her response after Becky spoke out for the first time about their public row on Loose Women on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Coleen told The Sun in a statement: “Coleen remains confident in the legal process and sees no reason to take the numerous opportunities that have been offered to engage in further public debate in this matter.
“She has nothing to add to what she has already said.”
Her response come after Becky got emotional when she gave her first interview.
She broke down in tears as she blamed Coleen and the Wagatha Christie scandal for hospitalising her three times while pregnant.
The mum had cried her eyes out on Loose Women when she discussed the abuse she faced from trolls after the Wagatha Christie scandal hit headlines.
She said: "It was really hard. It was up there with one of the worst things I’ve had to deal with - apart from being abused by my step dad when I was younger.
“The trolling was the worst part for me. I have been trolled before and I do get it all the time, but it escalated off the back of this. I think people don’t realise when they are saying stuff like that.
"I ended up with severe anxiety attacks. I ended up in hospital three times. I ended up with kidney stones. I felt like I couldn’t go out with people just looking at me just questioning.. whether.. did she do it? Did she not do it?"
“No one would ever say anything to your face they never do, do they. They aren’t brave enough to say things to your face.”
