After much anticipation, the first trailer for Fast & Furious 9 dropped last month, and it didn't disappoint fans of the long-running franchise. Some of the highlights include a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 being picked up by a stealth jet with magnets, John Cena being revealed as Dominic Toretto's brother, and Han inexplicably returning form the dead.

F9 releases in theaters May 22, but if you can't wait until then you can watch the animated spin-off Fast & Furious Spy Racers on Netflix. After F9, it's already been confirmed there will be a tenth film, which will complete the main Fast Saga.

Vin Diesel recently hinted Fast & Furious 10 will be split into two parts because enough money hasn't already been milked out of this franchise. But that won't be the end of the road for the franchise, because Diesel has announced a female Fast & Furious spin-off movie is in the works.

When asked what the future holds for the series after Fast & Furious 10, Diesel told MTV he has an idea for a female spin-off movie. "I've created a female spin-off. And that script comes next month, so we will see," he said. Michelle Rodriguez who plays Letty added: "Definitely all the power pieces would need to be in place. See what Charlize [Theron] is doing? We'd be like, 'Can we talk you into being a good girl?' She's so bad in this, right? She's so mean. I love her, though."

"I think it should be like a badass girl movie. It'd be cool to have a sort of Charlie's Angels-type vibe but with, like, all women. I think that's kind of fun," Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Ramsey, said. The series has plenty of established female characters who could reprise their roles.

Jordana Brewster will likely return as Dom's brother Mia, especially as she appears to have a larger role in Fast 9 after staying out of Fate of the Furious. Vanessa Kirby also played Hattie Shaw in the first Fast & Furious spinoff 'Hobbs & Shaw' and we wouldn't be surprised if Charlize Theron's villain Cipher gets redeemed. Since 'Hobbs & Shaw' was sandwiched in between 'Fate of the Furious' and 'F9,' the female spin-off could bridge the gap between 'F9' and Fast & Furious 10.
