PSL Club's Comment On ‘Suspended’ 5 Players

It was revealed by the Siya crew earlier in the week that AmaZulu were believed to have axed five players, instructing them to train on their own, following the Durban-based club’s 4-1 loss in the Nedbank Cup against Bloemfontein Celtic last weekend.

The five players are Lehlohonolo Majoro, Nhlanhla Vilakazi, Michael Morton, Thembela Sikhakhane and Jabulani Ncobeni.
The KwaZulu-Natal outfit – through general manager Lunga Sokhela, has set the record on the quintet, and denying that they have been suspended for ill-discipline, as some media reports this week have indicated.
“News has been doing the rounds this week regarding Thembela Sikhakhane, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Michael Morton, Jabulani Ncobeni, and Nhlanhla Vilakazi. It is not true that they are suspended for ill-discipline,” stated AmaZulu on their official website.

“The club has put all five players on a special training program while the technical team works with the rest of the squad to try and grind out results for the next coming fixtures. The players are professional and the coach may recall (them) at any time,” said Sokhela, as quoted on AmaZulu’s website.
