Buzzcocks share first single since Pete Shelley’s death, touring around Punk Rock Bowling
by Bill PearisPete Shelley died in 2018 but Steve Diggle decided to keep the Buzzcocks flame alive and the band have now shared their first single since Shelley’s death. “Gotta Get Better” was actually released six years ago as a Diggle solo single, and here is tightened up a little to keep it just under three minutes in Buzzcocks’ catchy punk fashion. It doesn’t sound that different than the original, but Diggle’s solo work and Flag of Convenience records weren’t far from Buzzcocks either. It’s out now as a 7″ via Cherry Red and you can watch the video for “Gotta Get Better” and listen to b-side “Destination Zero” below.
Buzzcocks will be in Las Vegas in May for Punk Rock Bowling and will tour the West Coast around it, hitting San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. All tour dates are listed below.
