It’s Valentine’s Day today and in conjunction with this day, you can see many loving couples posting sweet photos on social media. However, since it is now the era of the coronavirus, things are a bit different, especially the gifts that people are giving their partners.
China has been hit the hardest with over 63,000 infected and 1,300 deaths so far. This Valentine’s Day, social media in China has been abuzz with some really creative bouquets and gifts made out of face masks. Yes, you read that right. In this era of uncertainty and sickness, the face mask is a hot and often rare commodity as everyone is rushing to grab some.
It’s not just a box of face masks though, rather, it is arranged prettily in a bouquet or a gift box so that it makes for a rather romantic-looking gift. Social media users in China have shared photos of these creative bouquets and we’re actually quite impressed. Never knew that face masks could look so good!
Since everyone is trying to stay indoors to avoid getting infected with the virus, the courier companies are sending the bouquets over to their intended beloved ones. Some commenters said that since it is rather difficult to get face masks now, then someone who bought face mask for their beloved is either pretty rich or loves them a lot.
One said, “If a girl receives a face mask bouquet this year then they can consider marrying that guy. It’s so difficult to find face masks now so the guy must have spent a lot of time and energy to look for the masks.” Not only are face masks useful and much more practical than flowers and chocolates, but they might also help save your life.
