Here's our first glimpse of Robert Pattinson as Batman

Robert Pattinson will be the next actor to portray The Caped Crusader and we've now got our first glimpse, albeit a very brief one, of his Batman.

Director Matt Reeves has shared a short video of what the former Twilight star looks like as Batman.

He posted the short video on his Twitter account.

The dimly shot footage shows parts of what Pattinson's Batman will look like as well as a short shot of his masked face.

Reeves said the video is set to a score by Michael Giacchino and shot by cinematographer Greig Fraser.

The Batman is set for release in 2021.

Pattinson will take over the iconic superhero role from Ben Affleck, who first played Batman in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
