Mason Greenwood sent Manchester United training warning
Man Utd striker Mason Greenwood is one of the hottest prospects at the club but he's been sent a warning over his performances in training.
by Tyrone Marshall, http://www.facebook.com/TyMarshallMEN/Manchester United prodigy Mason Greenwood has been told to make sure he is training to the best of his ability every single day if he is continue to impress at Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for United, with 10 goals in 32 appearances for the club, but earlier in the season Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told Greenwood that he needed to "perform every day if you are going to be accepted by a group like this."
Now former United striker Andy Cole has told the academy graduate that he needs to be working harder than anyone else if he's to continue to shine at the club.
Cole was involved in Greenwood's induction day when the striker first joined the academy and he's in no doubt how much talent he has, but he's warned the England Under-21 international to work hard to make sure he fulfils that potential.
"I’ve been very impressed with him," Cole told Goal.
"I can remember when he joined as a scholar and I had to do an induction day and everyone was telling me what a player he was going to be.
"To have seen him do his induction day and then play with the kids and now the first team, you can just see the quality he has. Long may it continue - as long as it doesn’t go to his head.
"Ole has come out and mentioned that he doesn’t train the best. When you are that age you have to train a little better than you think you are working. You’re young and still learning your trade so you have to give a bit more."
