Team of North Korean experts arrive to assist in draft of social media regulations

A team of experts from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has arrived in Islamabad to assist the government in drafting the proposed social media regulations policy.

“Originally, the experts were supposed to come from China, whose model of social media regulation we wanted to emulate,” said information minister Firdoua Ashiq Awan. “But then we thought we needed something a little stronger.”

“Shoot for the moon, and you’ll land among the stars, as they say,” she said. “If we won’t be able to manage to achieve what North Korea has, we’d be able to get to China level, at least.”

“There’s so much to learn from our DPRK brothers and sisters,” said science minister Fawad Chaudhry. “For instance, when I first heard of the ‘3.5 Drill Method’, I thought it was an algorithm that shuts down the internet access of dissident users. Boy, was I wrong!”
