A STILL unidentified gunman shot and seriously wounded a 46-year-old employee of a sugar milling company in Maramag, Bukidnon shortly before midnight Thursday, a Police Regional Office 10 report said.

PRO10 director, Brigadier General Rolando B. Anduyan, said that an initial investigation conducted by the Maramag Municipal Police Station showed that victim Marlon Malunes, an employee of the Crystal Sugar Milling Company, Inc. was on his way to his office on board his motorcycle when he was shot while passing beside the NAPOCOR Channel around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

It turned out that the suspect who was hiding at the right portion of the road suddenly fired a shot that hit the right part of the victim’s body. Although he was wounded, the victim was still able to drive to the company compound where he was rescued by his fellow workers and taken to the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital for treatment.        Alfred Dalizon

Anduyan ordered the Maramag Municipal Police Station headed by Lieutenant Colonel Casan Ali to thoroughly investigate the shooting incident and track down the gunman.
