REPORT: The Witcher Season 2 Casts Two More Witchers
by Narayan LiuFilming for Season 2 of Netflix's The Witcher has reportedly begun, which means the ever-growing fanbase can look forward to waves of exciting news in the near future. Given how Season 1 left Geralt and Ciri, it is likely that the two will appear at Kaer Morhen in Season 2, where -- if the series continues to follow Andrzej Sapkowski's novels -- Ciri will begin her training.
According to Redanian Intelligence, two more actors have been added to the cast: Peaky Blinders' Paul Bullion and Dark Heart's Yasen Atour, who will be playing the witchers known as Lambert and Coën, respectively. The report also claims that each actor will appear in at least three episodes of Season 2, which indicates just how much time the show is likely to spend on events in Kaer Morhen, the home of the School of the Wolf.

Audiences familiar with Sapkowski's novels will recognize Lambert and Coën already, as they both help Geralt train Ciri in Blood of Elves. Beyond the novels, Lambert also played a significant role in CD Projekt Red's critically-acclaimed video game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, once again appearing -- for the most part -- within the ruined walls of Kaer Morhen.
As for the other witchers who should be present at the ancient fortress, namely Eskel and Vesemir, no news has been released regarding their casting or their roles in Season 2.
Season 1 of The Witcher is now available on Netflix and stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2021.
