Three UK expanding its 5G rollout across U.K. by the end of February
by Jay BonggoltoThree's 5G network rollout began in London in August of last year when the service became available for £35 per month with no speed caps. Today, the telecom and internet service provider announced that it is expanding its 5G mobile rollout across the rest of U.K. starting at the end of this month.
Regarding the rollout, Dave Dyson, CEO at Three, said:
“Today we are celebrating what is possible through 5G with a showcase of our ultra-fast 5G capabilities marking the next step in our 5G journey. The breath-taking, immersive audience experience is something that’s never been done before and we are proud to demonstrate it at such a prestigious global event. 5G is set to change the world for all of us and we can’t wait for our customers to start experiencing it.”

To celebrate the new milestone, Three is showcasing its "Real 5G" at the London Fashion Week, where the audience will experience immersive 5G-enabled technological effects. Three has partnered with Central Saint Martins to develop spatial audio, haptic feedback, a 46-meter projection the length of the runway, and an array of aromas for the guests. The show will end with a digital version of model Adwoa Aboah walking the catwalk with her outfit.
