Thomas Tuchel told he is nowhere near the level of Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp

Former PSG manager Luis Fernandez has taken aim at Thomas Tuchel insisting he is nowhere near the level of Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti.

Tuchel has been in charge of the French giants since 2018, and although they have enjoyed plenty of domestic success, the Ligue 1 side have struggled to make their mark in the Champions League.

Unlike Klopp and Ancelotti who have enjoyed success in the competition. The Everton boss has won the competition on three separate occasions, while Klopp led Liverpool to their sixth European Cup in Madrid last season.

And Fernandez believes that Tuchel is the worst coach PSG has had in the Qatar Sports Investments era, which began in 2011.

“In terms of last season’s results, Tuchel is the worst coach since the Qatar takeover,” he said aid in an interview with DPA via Goal. “He is still far from the level of Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, or Carlo Ancelotti.”

Before adding: “That definitely left its mark. We will see whether the trauma from that match can be overcome against Dortmund.

“The club’s bosses expect to reach the final. They actually have all the prerequisites to do so, but they definitely have to respect Dortmund.”
