Do you have experience in construction, art and design, logistics, or in-office administration? Did you know you could use your skills in film and television?

Skills to Screen: Manchester is a free-to-attend insight event taking place at held at Space Studios Manchester on February 29, 2020.

The event will be held at Space Studios Manchester

Supported by SharpFutures and ScreenSkills, the event will span across a whole day and include intensive workshops both involving practical and theoretical learning, held by a number of industry professionals, plus a number of panel and Q & A discussions.

The organisers are exclusively looking for people based in and around Greater Manchester (60 minutes from Space Studios Manchester) who hold five to 10 years of transferrable skills to apply to the production office, construction, art department and locations sectors.

They will be involving production crew from the major production creators, Sky Drama and Moonage Pictures, and highlighting high-end dramas and films which have recently filmed out of Manchester with production bases at Space Studios Manchester.

The event will offer the crew’s unique insight into production, alongside various crew members and heads of department with the key objectives, to provide an overview of the television and film industry and the career opportunities it offers to people interested in breaking into this exciting field of employment.

Take part in workshops

Attendants will specifically see how their skills can be transferrable to the sector, especially concentrating on the four listed above because there is a current shortage of these highlighted skills within the Greater Manchester area.

This event will be followed by a networking event on Wednesday, March 18 with industry practitioners looking for talent to hire.
