Steve Chettle on Nottingham Forest's promotion hopes

With Nottingham Forest set to resume their Sky Bet Championship campaign this weekend, one pundit has made their prediction for how the Reds will get on.

Sabri Lamouchi’s side travel to The Hawthorns on Saturday to face league leaders West Bromwich Albion.

Forest go into the contest on the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic in midweek, which leaves them in fifth place in the table.

For Albion, they have won their last three league matches with the latest coming on Wednesday night as they came from a goal behind to beat Reading 2-1, and extend their lead at the Championship summit to six points.

Despite the defeat against the Addicks, Forest are just two points outside the automatic promotion places with 14 league matches remaining.

Ahead of Saturday’s clash against the Baggies, former Reds midfielder and current Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has made his prediction of how he thinks the match will pan out.

Prutton reckons that Forest will taste defeat yet again, and lose 2-1 at The Hawthorns.

“West Brom are right back on it," said Prutton.

"Three wins on the spin, including in tough trips to Millwall and Reading, have sent them clear at the top.

“Sabri Lamouchi essentially sacrificed the game against Charlton to prepare for this, which means the pressure is on to get a win here."
