The 2006 FIFA World Cup winner also heaped praise on former teammate Ibrahimovic who, at the age of 38, recently returned to Italy to join AC Milan, where he has been in impressive form.
"... So many (people) turned their noses up when Ibrahimovic was coming to Milan, but at the age of 38, he is making the difference," Buffon added.
"When it comes to players, you have to analyse them individually and not just as a birthdate. I am very happy for him, he is an extraordinary champion."
