Jason Manford's ITV game show What Would Your Kid Do? 'axed' after only two series
The family-friendly quiz, hosted by comedian Jason Manford, only began airing in 2018 and appears to be one of a few cuts ITV have made to freshen up their schedule
by Irishmirror.ieITV have reportedly axed Jason Manford's game show What Would Your Kid Do? after just two series.
The family-friendly quiz first began airing in 2018 and tasked parents with guessing what their children would do in a number of situations.
Each of the kids were filmed in a school rigged with hidden cameras as they believed that they were taking part in various classroom activities and games, unaware that they were actually being tested on curiosity, rule breaking and empathy.
Meanwhile back in the studio, the mums and dads had to predict what their children would do in each of the situations.
The family who was able to make most of the correct predictions would go to the final. However the kids would end up choosing which prizes the family won.
However a source has told The Sun that, while the show did OK in the ratings, ITV are keen to freshen up their schedule and so are cutting some programmes.
They added: "There are no plans to bring back the show in the future, so it’s goodbye for now."
Mirror TV have reached out to ITV for comment.
This comes soon after it was confirmed that Paddy McGuinness' dating show Take Me Out has been axed after 11 years.
An insider told the publication: "ITV and Paddy have done all the specials you can eke out of a dating show, so it’s been decided it’s time for it to go.
"As with many shows, ratings have slid a bit in recent years."
