by Sam PrestonWolves manager Nuno Santo says he has had no contact with the club over a new contract despite approaching the final year of his deal.
As per Sky Sports, Santo, who is relaxed about the situation, says he is only focused on the next game and underlined his intention to see out his current deal at Molineux.
He said: “I have had no proposal. I have one year more, I don’t think about that. We will see but I’m only focused on tomorrow. We have one more year left on the contract. We signed it and are committed to it.”
“They (Wolves fans) can be assured every day this is my obsession. Wolves is my obsession, it’s my life. I don’t think about anything else. I’m talking to you but I’m thinking about the game.”
TBR’s View – Should be nothing for Wolves fans to worry about
Santo appears relaxed enough about the situation and has appeared to quash any prospect he could be picked off during the summer by underlining his commitment to what Wolves are trying to do.
Wolves have done such smart business and got such grand ambitions that they would not let the man who has overseen it all become frustrated with the state of affairs.
It is to be expected that a new deal will come Santo’s way in good time. Wolves haven’t got very much wrong during their recent rise and it would be an aberration of huge proportions to allow Santo to walk away without a fight. It doesn’t look likely at all.
