Hyundai Motor India will reportedly launch the new Creta on March 17. Unveiled here on February 6 at the Auto Expo 2020, the second-generation Creta will be up against the likes of Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and Mahindra XUV500. We have already seen that the 2020 Hyundai Creta boasts of completely overhauled exteriors. Although details about the interiors and powertrains of the SUV have not been officially revealed yet, a plethora of major updates are expected there as well.

There have been several media reports claiming that the new Creta launch will take place in India on March 17. The second-generation Hyundai Creta gets exterior features like 3D cascading grille, triple LED headlights with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, contoured tailgate, LED taillights, LED high mount stop lamp, front and rear skid plates, roof rails, side sill garnish and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The cabin of the 2020 Hyundai Creta is expected to feature 10-inch+ touchscreen infotainment system, multifunction steering wheel, tilt and telescopic steering, electrically adjustable seats, air purifier, ambient lighting, automatic AC and panoramic sunroof. The new Hyundai Creta will also come with the Blue Link connectivity technology.

We are expecting the new Creta to borrow the BS6 engines from Kia Seltos. So the 2020 Creta will be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol. All the three engines have a standard 6-speed manual gearbox, with separate automatic transmission options.

So far as the new Hyundai Creta price is concerned, we are expecting it to be in the range of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). However, we will have to wait for the 2020 Hyundai Creta launch for the exact variant-wise prices.
