Two arriving passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4 asked the help of the airport medical staff Thursday because they were both suffering from cough and high fever.

The two are Chinese tourists who came onboard Air Asia flight Z2-712 from Kalibo, Aklan and arrived at 1:34 at the NAIA Terminal 4.

The airport medical team assisted the couple to undergo medical checkup at NAIA Terminal 3, but for lack of equipment they were referred to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa City.

Manila International Airport Authority [MIAA] spokesperson Connie Bungag disclosed that the Chinese couple arrived with high fever and they approached the health workers at the NAIA Terminal 4 clinic for consultation.

The passengers were transferred to the NAIA terminal 3 clinic at 3:16 pm for further check-up after their body temperatures remained high. Upon evaluation by the attending physician, the couple were rushed to the RITM where they were admitted and considered as Persons Under Investigation.
