West Brom complete Lee Peltier deal
West Brom have sealed the signing of Cardiff City full back, Lee Peltier.
by Luke HatfieldThe defender joins on a short-term contract until the end of the season on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old right-sided defender has made 25 appearances this season, but was not included in the team which beat the Baggies earlier this week.
The Cardiff man has a host of Championship experience to call upon, having spent time at Leeds and Nottingham Forest ahead of his spell in the Welsh capital.
The Englishman's deal at Cardiff was due to run out this summer.
Peltier provides solid cover for Nathan Ferguson, who is nearing his move to Crystal Palace, at right-back, and can also play in central defence or a defensive midfield role.
There has been an issue regarding Ferguson's medical at Palace, causing a hiccup in his move - it's not yet known whether the deal will be completed ahead of the deadline.
Meanwhile, it appears Stoke City's late move for Albion stalwart Chris Brunt won't be completed.
The Northern-Irishman has barely featured this season under Slaven Bilic - with Brunt having played under Michael O'Neill at international level.
However, the move appears to have broken down, so the veteran midfielder is set to stay at The Hawthorns.
