Tribues paid to tragic teen girl who died in Argyll loch horror crash as police name two victims
by Ewan MowatTRIBUTES have been paid to a teenage girl who died after a car plunged into a sea loch in Argyll at the weekend.
Police named Jasmine Herron, 19, and Jonathan Graham, 37, as the two casualties following the horror crash.
Their car was found on the shore near Ormsary on Sunday morning having careered off the B8024 shortly after midnight.
The pair's bodies were found around 9am, close to the car - while another man, thought to be the driver, was rushed to hospital.
And Jasmine's loved ones have launched a fundraising page to give the teen the best send off possible.
Jordan Todd spoke of her shock death leaving "a huge hole in all our hearts" as he praised her "amazing spirit" while launching the JustGiving page on Wednesday.
He wrote: "Our Jasmine was tragically taken from us by a fatal car crash over the weekend.
"This was so unexpected and it has left a huge hole in all our hearts, Our family, friends and everyone who knew jasmine are utterly devastated.
"She was only 19 and had her whole life ahead of her. She was funny, kind and a little bit bonkers which she was absolutely adored for.
"Everyone who knew Jasmine will know she had an amazing spirit and she deserves the best care after life so I'm hoping we can all pull together and raise funds to give our special girl the best send of possible."
The page had a target of £1,000 but has already smashed that and currently sits at £1,850.
And it was shared on Facebook by Jasmine's heartbroken sister Jade, who paid tribute to her sibling.
She wrote: "I wouldn't expect a penny off anyone but the slightest bit of generosity will go a long way for her.
"No one expects to bury someone of such a young age."
Jasmine and dad-of-three Jonathan were heading home from a party when the tragedy ocurred.
Their motor was discovered partially submerged in Loch Caolisport with the pals dead nearby.
Sergeant Paul MacPherson, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the families of both Jasmine and Jonathan at this difficult time.
“Our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision continues and we are speaking with witnesses.
“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1164 of 26 January.”
