Lil Wayne Drops New Album, Pays Homage To Kobe On Track 8 With 24-Seconds of Silence (AUDIO)
by Darrelle LincolnLil Wayne’s latest studio album Funeral is out right now and it features the likes of Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Lil Baby, Jay Rock, the-Dream, Adam Levine, the late XXXTentacion, Lil Twist, O.T. Genasis, and Takeoff.
The song “Bing James,” featuring Jay Rock, is not only the 8th track on the album, but it includes a 24-second moment of silence in honor of the late Kobe Bryant, who tragically lost his life in a helicopter alongside his daughter and seven others.
He also confirmed it on ‘Undisputed’ Friday morning.

Lil Wayne is among several musicians to honor Kobe. Fellow rapper Drake posted a picture of the “Farewell Mamba” jacket he wore during the L.A. Lakers icon’s final game in 2016, writing, “it can’t be.”
Cardi B, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Pink, and Justin Bieber were some of many others to send their condolensces.
