The Realme 3 Pro was one of the most exciting devices released by the company in the last year. The handset debuted in April 2019 with ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. The smartphone recently received an Android 10-based Realme UI 1.0 update which includes a bunch of new features such as dual earphone connection, animated wallpapers, customizable icon shape and more. Worth noting that it also includes Realme Share, which is a cross-brand file sharing technology.
Realme states that while Realme UI is based on ColorOS it has been crafted to provide a near-stock Android experience. It looks clean and all, but it’s not stock Android. But in the case, you want to have a full vanilla Android experience in your handset we have some good news. The Realme 3 Pro (RMX1851) is now part of the list of smartphones with official Pixel Experience (Android 10 based) support.
What is Pixel Experience?
Pixel Experience as the name implies bring a full Google-smartphone experience to your smartphone no matter the brand. It’s a custom ROM based in the latest Android version available with all the look, songs, animations and features present in Pixel smartphones.
There are plenty of custom ROMs in the community with different approaches. Nowadays, we can say that Pixel Experience is the way to go for users that just want the pureness of Android. It doesn’t come with customization features, it doesn’t include third-party apps and it doesn’t come with any kind of modification to change Android. It’s one of the most popular Custom ROMs and the developers behind it are constantly providing updates and security patches.
In order to flash a custom ROM, users need to unlock the bootloader of their devices and flash a custom recovery. Moreover, it is recommended to make a backup of your data before proceeding. You can find the custom ROM and the TWRP for flashing in the links provided below.
You can re-flash stock Realme UI firmware if you wish to return to Realme’s umbrella. However, worth mentioning that flashing a custom ROM does not represent a risk for your warranty.
