Toulouse 'row' reportedly scuppers Nottingham Forest midfielder's move to Championship rivals

Nottingham Forest transfer news: John Bostock has been linked with a deadline day move to Charlton Athletic

by

A move to Charlton Athletic for Nottingham Forest midfielder John Bostock has reportedly fallen through “due to a row with parent club Toulouse”.

Bostock is on loan at the City Ground from the French club but has struggled for regular game time.

He has been linked with a move to Championship rivals the Addicks, but the Daily Mail claim that has collapsed.

A report says: “John Bostock looks set to spend the rest of the season with Nottingham Forest due to a row with parent club Toulouse over the terms of his loan deal.

“Charlton were keen to sign the midfielder, who had fallen out of favour with Forest, this month but the Championship clubs have been unable to resolve the matter with Toulouse.”

They say Bostock’s agent is understood to be “furious with the French club for the fact the move appears to have fallen through, barring a late U-turn”.

The player’s season-long deal with the Reds would have to be cancelled for him to make the switch, which, it is said, “requires the cooperation of all parties”.

The 28-year-old has made five appearances in the Garibaldi, but has not featured since the 4-0 win at QPR back in November.
