Two people were arrested after driving through security checkpoints at Mar-a-Lago, forcing officials to open fire on the suspects.

Mar-a-Lago, a Palm Beach, Florida, property owned by President Trump, had a security breach after an SUV rammed through two security checkpoints. Guards in the area opened fire, trying to stop the drivers. After the guards opened fire, the two individuals in the SUV fled the scene.

The two individuals in the vehicle were followed by police helicopters and eventually apprehended by police. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s department confirmed that both suspects had been apprehended after a pursuit by Florida Highway Patrol officers. According to WPFB, both of the suspects are female. CNN also reported that the FBI confirmed that they were aware of the incident and have deployed agents to the scene.

A representative for the Secret Service told ABC News that the SUV was involved in a car chase that began several miles away from Mar-a-Lago. The chase began after authorities responded to reports of a woman dancing on the top of a vehicle in a hotel parking lot. When police arrived at the hotel, two women hopped in the car and feld the scene.

Photographs of the vehicle driven by the suspects show the windshield riddled with bullet holes. It is not clear if anyone was injured during the incident.

Trump was expected to be at the property later in the day Friday. Authorities are still investigating the situation. Guests at Mar-a-Lago have been warned they would not be allowed to enter or leave the property as the investigation continues.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
