CONFIRMED: St Johnstone make loan signing of Matt Butcher

St Johnstone have confirmed the loan signing of midfielder Matt Butcher from Bournemouth.

The 22-year-old will be at McDiarmid Park until the end of the season and goes straight into Tommy Wright’s squad for the game against Hearts.

Butcher has previously had loan spells at Gosport Borough, Poole Town, Woking and Yeovil Town.

Earlier in the day Saints announced that Callum Hendry has signed a contract extension through to 2022.
