by Gavin QuinnCork City boss Neale Fenn is delighted to see his new-look squad coming together as the club confirmed the capture of a trio of new players today.
The Rebels have added centre-half Joe Redmond, midfielder Henry Ochieng and striker Reyon Dillon to the books ahead of the new season.
Redmond is the only of the new recruits not to join permanently, flying over from Birmingham City on loan, while Dillon and Ochieng join after spells across the Irish Sea with Corinthian Casuals and Wingate & Finchley respectively.
And Fenn is delighted to reinforce his squad, hinting that fans could see more arrivals on the way in the coming days.
Fenn said: “We needed a few more bodies in the squad; we were searching for the players we wanted, so I am very pleased to get the three boys in.”
“We are hoping to get another couple of players in, over the weekend or maybe early next week.”
Meanwhile Waterford FC have snapped up Manchester City youth Tyreke Wilson as well Dundee United's Matty Smith.
Highly-rated left-back Wilson, 20, joins Alan Reynolds' side from the Premier League champions and will bring a wealth of experience - previously lining out for Ireland at U17, U19 and U21 level.
Wilson said: "Today was my first day of training. There is a really good atmosphere in the dressing room. Everyone seems to buzz off one another so it should be a good season.
“I’m an all-round fullback. I like to defend, but I’m always keen to push forward as well and try to get balls into the box. I’d base myself off Ashley Cole, so I’d like to play like him.
“I want to get playing football regularly at first-team level. I’m hoping for a good run of games here and to see where I can go.”
Elsewhere, Derry City have signed 19-year-old Belgian defender Danny Lupano on loan from Hull City.
The Candystripes have also confirmed the capture Moussa Bakayoko after he impressed in a trial.
