It is the second incident of its kind to happen this month

Police are investigating after a man exposed himself to two victims walking towards a school.

The alleged incident took place near Cowbridge Comprehensive at around 9.30am on Friday morning.

South Wales Police said the two victims were walking toward the school when someone shouted to attract their attention. They saw a white man with jeans around his ankles.

It follows after a separate incident in Cowbridge town centre on the morning of January 6.

The victim of the first incident reported a man in his 30s acting strangely on the footpath before disappearing in to a side street.

As the victim walked past, the man, who was wearing a red checked shirt with a jumper over the top, was exposing himself.

Both incidents took place on the footpath between Cowbridge Comprehensive and the town centre.

PC Jamie Williamson, who is investigating the two incidents, said: “These were distressing incidents for the young victims concerned and we are taking their reports extremely seriously.

“A number of enquiries are underway, and we are urging anyone with any information which could assist our investigation, to come forward.

“I appreciate the incidents will have caused concern locally, especially given the proximity to the comprehensive school, however I would urge people not to panic and rather to remain vigilant. Please report any suspicious behaviour, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to us so that we can fully investigate.”

Anyone with information relating to the incidents is asked to contact 101 quoting occurrence 2000037258 (January 31 incident) or 2000006068 (January 6 incident).
