Manchester United are favourites to sign two players on January transfer deadline day – at least according to the bookies.

Having welcomed long-term target Bruno Fernandes to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon around 24 hours ago, the Red Devils continue to be linked with further signings in attacking quarters.

In the absence of top-scorer Marcus Rashford, who is expected to be missing for two months with a stress fracture, strikers Joshua King and Willian Jose have been tipped to sign before the 11pm cut off.

King, currently with fellow Premier League side Bournemouth, is currently 10/3 with SkyBet to join United at the back end of this window.

Born in Oslo, the Norwegian international – capped 46 times with 17 goals for his country – previously spent four years at Old Trafford after he was picked up as a youth product from Vålerenga.

But while a return to United has been mooted as the January transfer window draws to a close, odds of 1/5 on him remaining at Bournemouth are perhaps a much fairer indicator of where his immediate future lies.

King, 28, has scored 45 league goals in close to five years with the Cherries.

As for Jose, fellow Champions League hopefuls Spurs are believed to be in the market for his signature – with SkyBet currently pricing United and Spurs up at 3/1 and 4/1 respectively.

The 28-year-old from Brazil has spent the last three years in Spain with Real Sociedad – scoring 46 times in 113 La Liga appearances.
