Motorola stylus phone is the Moto G Stylus
Motorola's upcoming smartphone with a stylus has been confirmed as the Moto G Stylus thanks to a slightly cagey leak.
by Chris MartinConfusion around leaked Motorola smartphones has been cleared up with the confirmation of the Moto G Stylus, which may arrive in a few weeks.
The misunderstanding occurred due to notorious leaker, Evan Blass, posting about a Motorola flagship device called the Edge+, followed by a render of a smartphone with a stylus. Most sites put the two together, however, Blass pointed out that it was irresponsible to report the stylus wielding phone as the Edge+.
As we sort of suspected, it's actually a Moto G device with GSMArena confirming via a source that it will be called the Moto G Stylus. We're not sure why it's not a Moto G8 model, though.
It's supposedly codenamed 'sofia+' and is the 'XT2043-4' for its model number. The Moto G Stylus is expected to come with a 6.36in FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch for the 25Mp selfie cam. At the back will offer a quad-camera array with a 48Mp main shooter.
Other specs supposedly include a Snapdragon 665 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The battery will be a large 5000mAh cell with 18W fast charging and the phone will run on Android 10.
The stylus will be the main selling point, but it does look a little basic with no button like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. It will be a lot cheaper, though, we assume.
The caveat with this leak is a photo of the device showing the message "Finish configuring your Moto G7" with the blame being put on pre-production software.
