Director Dan Trachtenburg Taking on Action Comedy MILK – AKA MOTHER I'D LIKE TO KILL – for Lionsgate

by

Director Dan Trachtenburg, best known for making his feature directorial debut with the film 10 Cloverfield Lane, then going on to direct episodes of Black Mirror and The Boys, is taking on another feature film at Lionsgate with producer Kristin Burr.

The film is called Milk - aka Mother I’d Like to Kill, and is described in a report by THR as a story, “about a former assassin that must manage the pressures of being a new mom while avoiding her former co-workers who have been sent to kill her.”

Trachtenburg originated the idea, which is being adapted into a screenplay by Patrick Aison (Wayward PinesJack Ryan). This is a hilarious idea that sounds like the ultimate Lifetime movie spoof. It definitely seems like it will be funny and have a lot of action, but could also have an added twist considering Trachtenburg is behind the film.

I’m definitely interested in hearing more about the project, and I’m excited to hear of another original idea getting made in Hollywood.
